Under the direct, 1-on-1 guidance of Maestro Pervis and Maestro Isamani, you will spend months at a time dieting master plants and receiving their power to one day help heal others.

In the modern world, many people look for a fast track to becoming a shaman. As Maestro Pervis teaches, you cannot become a curandero by dieting for 15 days, one month, or even three months. That may be the beginning of receiving the power, but true apprenticeship takes years of dedication to actually be able to help and heal someone else.

The Shipibo shamanic apprenticeship at Mokapari Nete is a true immersion into the path of the curandero. You will stay for months at a time, participating in 10 ceremonies per month, dieting powerful master plants to receive their knowledge, guidance, and powers. This involves deep physical and spiritual preparation, a rigorous cleansing of your own shadows so that you can become a clear vessel for the light.

Unprecedented Access to the Maestros

Mokapari Nete is not a westernized retreat center built to host dozens of pasajeros at a time. It is a small, family-run home where it is often just you and the maestros. Because of this, apprentices receive something extremely rare in the modern medicine world: complete 1-on-1 access to the maestros. You live with the family and have daily conversations, often one to two hours a day, where the maestros translate and guide everything you are receiving from the plants.

You will be guided directly by Maestro Pervis, who brings 20 years of devoted service, and Maestro Isamani, who holds over 50 years of deep curanderismo experience. Having daily, unfiltered access to 70 years of combined Shipibo lineage is difficult to quantify. For them, taking on an apprentice is a massive energetic commitment, and they give their entire heart and energy to ensuring you safely acquire the power and knowledge needed to heal others.

If your conscience is clean, you will connect quickly with the medicinal plants, and they will teach you and heal you.

Maestro Pervis Urquia

Shipibo healer with 20+ years of service. Taught by his uncles (maestro healers Esteban and Cecilio), later invited by Maestra Inés López to work for a decade at Noya Rao Xobo. With the support of friends and patients, he founded Mokapari Nete near Pucallpa, where he receives individuals who wish to engage in a real Master Plant Dieta that follows the Shipibo tradition in all of its aspects.

Maestro Isamani

Shipibo healer with 50+ years of experience. To acquire his healing powers, he engaged in a 5.5-year-long dieta, dieting all plants simultaneously. This is unheard of, as the amount of strength and will to do this is incomprehensible. This, in turn, enabled him to become an extremely powerful healer with a kind heart.

How the Process Is Held

The apprenticeship path is extremely customized, and everything is adjusted based on exactly what you need at a specific moment. During your apprenticeship, you will diet different plants, chosen together with Maestro Pervis. You will receive the guidance of the maestros, receive the ceremonies, baths, food, rest, and practice the discipline of the dieta.

What's Included

Simple All-Inclusive Stay

The center takes care of everything on-site: transport to/from the airport, all meals, a private room, and all the medicinal plants, so you can focus on your master plant.

10 Ceremonies per Month

Ten Ayahuasca ceremonies per month, with personalized ícaros to help you connect with your plant and cleanse your physical & energy body.

Direct Guidance

You will receive direct guidance from Maestro Pervis, being able to have 1-on-1 time with him on most days. This is extremely rare and doesn’t happen in most centers.

Steam Baths & Floral Baths

Traditional steam baths with a blend of powerful medicinal plants to clear body & spirit and deepen openness during ceremonies. And plant baths for cleansing, protection, and opening.
